Garage System Offline

All,

Just to make you aware the Garage System is now offline whilst we upgrade the system. Please bear with us as this may take a few days to complete.

The system, once complete will perform and look the same as the current one, we will then within the next few weeks further upgrade the system adding some new features.

New Shoutbox

All,

Due to a security issue with the previous shoutbox, which could potentially lead to the hacking of the website, along with a number of bugs that I was unable to resolve, we have now installed a new "temporary" version of the shoutbox.

You will find the shoutbox will "grey out / dim" after a period of time without use. This will mean you will not see updated shouts until you either shout again, or become active on the forums... for obvious reasons this is to keep the server resources low... yes it will lead to some frustration due to not seeing updated shout if you are not active... that I'm afraid it is here to stay until the official version of the shoutbox is ready... if you want a full on chat system, then please use the club chat system or MSN.

You will now also find you can close the shoutbox (for those who dont wish to view it) by clicking on the blue arrow at the top right.

The club staff are currently reviewing the club rules based around the shoutbox. These will be updated and posted up for your attention soon... please be aware we will be applying a new banning policy for users who continue to abuse the system.

The following can be used in the shoutbox:

/me
/custom command = /me custom command
/ignore user
/unignore user

Club Handbook System

Hi all,

Its taken me a little longer than planned, however I have managed to get the club Handbook System up and running.

The system was designed for the old version of the forum software, and therefore you may see some bugs in places... please report any errors you do see.

The main thing is that our old articles are now back online.

Please do add information you feel others would benefit from.

The plan will be to eventually upgrade the system to a newer system, and I hope to add updated information to aid those with the facelift as well as the pre-facelift.

To view the system, please click on the SYSTEMS menu and then HANDBOOK

New Club 'Spotted' Cards

Hi all,

As many are aware we're long due a new batch of spotted cards, following our last batch of 7000 pretty much gone.

This time we plan to get at leat 10,000 with the aim they will be handed out to Reps and Staff in bulk, which can then be filtered down.

I would like you all involved with the design of the card and this thread will be the place you can upload any ideas.

Focusstoc.com have opted to produced Focus ST specific cards.

We have the choice to do this or a generic card for the FordSTOC.com Network... below is a daft idea for the Network Card:

If you have a design idea, please upload your .jpg or .gif design here and after a dew weeks, I will complete the final design based on what is uploaded here.

Please note some guidelines for the design... due to the different colours and facelift, the card is not to have a picture of an ST on to avoid it going out of date etc. Dont worry about not putting the ST logo on your design or using the correct font... I'll get the idea

Small Changes to Purchasing Club Membership

Dear Members,

Following recent feedback, we have made the following changes when purchasing "Owner Member" Membership.

Vehicle Registration Mark:

This is requested simply because we wanted some proof of ownership. In the recent years we have opened up Collective Membership for Non ST Owners, which effectively means there is no requirement for proof anymore.

Therefore, from now, there is no requirement for you to provide your Vehicle Registration Number when purchasing membership

Vinyl Stickers & Tax Disc:

We've received feedback from a number of members stating how they'd prefer to have the option not to have any vinyl decals when purchasing or renewing their membership.

You will now find there is an option to opt out from receiving this when purchasing membership. If this is the case then you will not receive anything through the post.

Many thanks for those who've provided us with this feedback, it means you have effectively helped the club to save money, the thought that some dont get used meant we were effectively throwing money away!

We are still looking into other feedback received and will make any necessary announcements as and when.
