Compare 1st Service Prices

Anyone in the South London / Surrey area had a first year service? How much did you pay, and where did you go?

Just phoned 3 local garages and the price is £180 - £185. Is this the going rate? For some reason i thought it was likely to be £130

Do Ford keep a record of modified ST's that get Serviced?

A per the title.

My ST is due its first service soon and i cant be ar$ed to remove the K&N, strut brace, flexi etc. In the future should i have any issues that need to be resloved under warrantee would they have kept a note of my mod's?

Paint work 'repair'

My cars just come back from the dealers after having a small scratch on the front bumper 'touched up' .

(This scratch was on the car when i picked it up brand new a few weeks back. Its was pretty small- 15mmish and towards the bottom of the bumper so i didnt make a big deal of it as the dealer promised to get it repaired asap.)

Anyway, im starting to regret taking them up on their offer to fix the scratch, the match of colour seems ok but there is a distinct lack of shine to the area that has been blended in. Is this normal and does it just need a bit of polish? Also the new painted area has a kind of roughness to it, again is this normal?

If it was your car what would you do? I guess to a stranger it wouldnt be obvious but because i know that area is dull it draws my attention. Am i just being a fussy ?

Car Valet Question

My ST is going in to have a minor scratch repaired that was on the car when i bought it brand new a few weeks back.

Now, I was going to give it a good clean this weekend but as the garage as asked me to bring it in next week whats the chances of them giving it a full courtesy valet for me before the paintwork gets done? Or seeing that this has caused me some inconvenience should i just ask them to do it anyway in case this isn't standard procedure?

On board computer questions

Im coming up to 500 miles on my ST but the average speed has been stuck on 25mph despite most of those miles being done on motorway trips. Is this to be expected until it has 'sorted it's self out'? Being stuck in traffic for half an hour doesn't affect the average either.

Also, is it possible to show the internal temperature on the computer? (i dont have climate control)
