I picked my ST up on Wednesday, since then I have lost 4 centre caps, the dealer has replaced two, admitting they were not put back correctly after being serviced on Monday.

Has anyone else had a problem with centre caps falling off?

Any ideas how to make sure they dont come off?

There is a lip on the alloy wheel and a section of the centre cap that fits into it. Most places don't bother lining them up properly and just bang them on but they work loose over time.

i put mine back on wrong and it came off the next day.

as said, theres a little half circle sort of shape next to a clip on the centre cap and an indent on the alloy wheels.

if you don't line these up, you can turn the centre caps once they are clipped in.

if you do line the circle thing up with the indent, you won't be able to move the centre cap at all therefore making it fully secure.

Yes.

I lost one after I took my car into Evans Halshaw Blackpool and some numpty didn't put it back on properly.

I couldn't be arsed listening to their bullshit though so I replaced it myself ).gif

I now use Stanways of Lytham St Annes as they know their arse from their elbow.

Best way is a small blob of silicon on each one stops them coming off so easily! did the job for me!

Hummm I may move my business elsewhere then. Evans Halshaw Blackpool are a bit useless...
