Picked up my ST this afternoon after taking it in for its 12.5K service, after driving to me dads work (about 1.5miles) then home (13miles) i get home and check under the bonnet and they havent put the oil filler cap back on!!! rant.gif

Needless to say i was straight on the blower ranting to the service manager or whoever he was and had a damn good go at him.

So he said to bring it back in tomorrow and they will check everything over for me.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

If their qualified enough to work on an engine, they should be able to manage to put a plastic cap back in the top of it!

Different circumstances and maybe it's just coz I am a bit of a perfectionist, but I would never let the kids in my care go home with dirty faces or mucky clothes. I just can't understand people who don't show the same care in their work towards other people's pride and joy whether it be cars, kids, houses etc etc

Like you said, if they can't be trusted to put a cap back on, can you have faith in the rest of their work?

Not good news to hear, but think yourself lucky.

My cars steering rack was faulty, so took it to ford, they replaced it etc.

driving home it was pulling to the right, took it to elite in rainham, put it up on the ramps, the bloke stood back and said wheres this car been. i explained, and he showed me that the tracking rod locking nuts were BOTH undone. Ford hadnt tightneded them up, they were on hand lose on the last threads.

If either one came off, this could result in wheel failure.

Im now taking them to court for corperate manslaughter as this isnt the first thing theyve done wrong. this is the 3rd or 4th major problem.

Regards

Dan

Sorry to hear about the usual quality of workmanship that Frauds provide in some garages (.gif

Its my first experience of poor Fraudsmanship lol. Thats what my main worry was at the time, that there was damage to the engine. So when i was on the phone i told him i wanted the whole engine checked over.

Yes see you sunday!

Typical Ford Dealers.
I had an Engine replaced on a car because of a dealship balls up only to find when I eventually got the car back from them that both rocker box covers were placed on the head with the bolts in but not done up censored.gif
Essex ford Kent Elms so steer clear
