Dear Members,

Following recent feedback, we have made the following changes when purchasing "Owner Member" Membership.

Vehicle Registration Mark:

This is requested simply because we wanted some proof of ownership. In the recent years we have opened up Collective Membership for Non ST Owners, which effectively means there is no requirement for proof anymore.

Therefore, from now, there is no requirement for you to provide your Vehicle Registration Number when purchasing membership

Vinyl Stickers & Tax Disc:

We've received feedback from a number of members stating how they'd prefer to have the option not to have any vinyl decals when purchasing or renewing their membership.

You will now find there is an option to opt out from receiving this when purchasing membership. If this is the case then you will not receive anything through the post.

Many thanks for those who've provided us with this feedback, it means you have effectively helped the club to save money, the thought that some dont get used meant we were effectively throwing money away!

We are still looking into other feedback received and will make any necessary announcements as and when.

Regards

Jim & Team

Any old member could always have joined up and get access to the same features as an owner member, by choosing to be a collective member. I cant see anyone choosing owner membership when they've not got an ST when they know the collective membership is the one they're supposed to go for. I don't really see it being a problem.

Even if we do make them supply a reg number, someone that's dodgy will alway just type in some random car's plate if they want to, I just can't see it happening. It's not like we have a system that verifies the reg plates, anyway.

i think that new onwer members should be checked to make sure they have an ST! what happens if someone buys a membership, then buys a ticket for say fitp then turns up in a 1.25 with some crap body kit on it? dont get me wrong i havent got a problem talking to anyone with what ever car they have, i can just see it being a problem!?

if you go here clicky you can do a free check using a car reg to find out make and model! give it ago!

All,

The Collective Membership Scheme gives access to all the discounts, this is the only reason anyone would want to join the club.

We have a responsibility with personal data, the less we have about you all the better as far as I'm concerned.

If we find someone has joined as an Owner Member without owning an ST, their account will be moved to the Collective Membership.
