Well as i was off today i decided to go down to my local Ford garage and see if they had any news on the nw Focus st.gif

To my surprise there was a lovely new shinning Orange Focus st.gif sitting in the showroom!

Had a good look around the car and it looks amazing!! It was a case of dribble, dribble, dribble, drool.

The salesman then come over and asked if he could help and inbetween al the drooling i managed to ask if i can sit in it? He went and got the keys and the seats in that car so so comfy!! I just wanted to grab the keys lock the doors and drive that st.gif out of the showroom!!

I have decided i want one now and will not stop til i get one!!!

Sweet. I keep meaning to take a trip down to the dealer to see if they've got one in yet. Its a massive chain so they're bound to have one.

I don't want to just go down there and salivate though, I'd be well after a test drive so would have to play it cool lol.

Not such a fan of the orange myself though...

Went to Sandicliffe in Leicester to see the Focus ST in the flesh...., just an awesome machine.

The Sales Manager let me sit in it , start it , & Rev the Engine so i could hear how good it sounds... I really really want one now.

He say's on Nov 22nd i can go for a Test Drive in it as it will be Taxed then, he would like my feedback wot being a Fiesta ST owner and all that!! no arguments here grin.gif

The Focus ST has an incredibly small Boot, to accommodate the Massive Exhaust System under it.

Although the ST has an embargo on it till Jan 14th - 15th, he reckons he'll sell them from Nov 22nd,, anyone interested let me know i'll give you a voucher & I'll get £50 for reffering you grin.gif

Lotto here we come, i need about 7k!!!

The voucher is just so i get £50 for referring you to them, pretty selfish but £50 is £50.

The sales manager is willing to sell the Focus ST early so he can be the #1 ST Dealer in Leicester, he just said if i know anyone interested in one send them His way & get £50.

I popped into Evans Halshaw in Cardiff today:- a large dust sheet cover car in the centre of the showroom.

I saw the salesman I bought my ST from and he showed me the focus - bright pearlesant orange... I arranged a test drive for when they become available (even the dealers aren't quite sure yet!) - its very nice but I just spec'd the model I like on the ford site a ST3 with a few extra's and it came to £24000 !! But price wise its a big jump from fiesta (+fuel, tyres insurance)

And I still not 100% sure about the new focus shape as a whole! also had a quicklook at the facelift fiesta - (the reason I went there). The inside looks very nice + real lights. But not completely sure about the front lights.

Oh what to do!!

I keep meaning to pop down my local dealer and have a look, where cooking models of the new Focus tend to look a bit bland, the enhanced proportions of the ST make it look pretty cool from what I've seen so far.

I share your concerns as well though goose, whilst I could just stretch to buying one, the running costs would probably bankrupt me. It'll likely drink a lot fuel and with 225 horses through the front wheels, it'll eat tyres in no time too.

Was down the ford dealers at the weekend and what do you know there was a nice orange Foci St in the showroom ).gif Orange looks alot nicer in the flesh! Wasn't 2 seconds before I was in it playing around with everything lol... Very comfortable to sit in, going for a test drive in about 2 weeks when the car gets taxed, cant wait to see the difference to the Fez.

One thing I was wondering while I was looking at the spec's later that evening was is it worth upgrading? because:

a It's only about 1 second quicker 0-60
b It drinks a hell of alot more petrol than the fez
c Insurance is likely to be alot higher, and for 1 second difference???

Ok it does do 150mph ).gif but how often you going to use that?

I'm not sold on it yet but the test drive should clear my mind in two weeks lol.

I am no to fussed about 0-60 times.

The torque on this car is massive!! it will def shift and will def be very tunable as it is a very strong lump (sposed to be the Volvo T5).

Just trying to sort out fiances to get it down to a resonable price for monthly paymnets.
