Hi All,

As some of u may know i ordered my black.gif ST on the 4th of this month and still waiting for a build date - sob.gif

Anyway today in the post i got a letter from Ford asking if i wanted to upgrade my alarm to include the Anti-Tilt wheel protector for £199.99 plus VAT

The module will sound if the car is raised by jacking or loading. this type of crime is on the up!!!!!

Anyone think its worth the upgrade and who else got this through the post.

I dont live in a dodgey area of sunny Essex but have been thinking about getting a Tracker installed on the st.gif

Anyone else have experience of these????

Thanks

Dal

I would have it fitted you can afford it. When I bought my ST a year ago their were rumours off people nicking the wheels! So I had an extra alarm fitted so that I could have tilt. I had a Laser Line fitted which is pretty good plus it's very loud when it goes off!!

I don't really know much about Trackers, but again if you can afford have it done mate.

Hi Mate, this is interesting news, I've got an ST on order - ordered on the 16th Jan, Unfortunately I've not heard anything about this alarm upgrade nope.gif - I'll have to ring the dealer. Its due for delivery on the 18th March so it looks like im to late for this!

You find on here a few members have had wheels knicked - and when you think most of us have got a £150-£200 excess on the insurance I really think that this is well worth upgrade and may even reduce your insurance.

DEFINATELY GO FOR IT! thumbsup.gif

on that note aswell, with an aftermarket alarm, you will have a seperate fob i take it? also can you still deadlock the doors with it fitted? of remote fob or do you have to use the ford key to lock car then press fob for alarm which is a right censored.gif

Dan, any chance you could get your Mate to give us the Retail price of what you have, including fitting??.

£150 was a great price for what you've got!!!

Thanks for all the replyies guys.

I was thinking maybe go for an after market one, as there was a topic around somewhere that said the alarm siren was rubbish. I currently have a CAT1 Toad alarm fitted to my Saxo and has been brilliant and is very lould, this was installed 5 years ago when i bought the car so im sure alarms have changed since then.

Im tempted to go for the upgrade but im thinking after market..

Dal

Also Dan - what make of alarm did u have fitted??
