picked up my other half last night, pulled off in 1st no probs changed in to 2nd but it felt like i had put it in to 4th by misstake! but i hadnt, so i pull it out and put it into 2nd again and i had no joy! the car was dead, no go go!!!

looked at my dash and all my lights were flashing like christmas tree lights!
and then i saw it! ECU FAIL! i was like wtf!!
turn her off and then on again and everything seems fine! strange tho!

its got to go in for its snd services end of october when ihave the money! so the new ecu update will be going on cos of the starting and rev probs and to sort this out! i was thinking wtf have i done, did i touch something lol!
all leanne said was u have f**ked it now aint ya, i knew u would!
lol i bet u can think of my response to that

I would def get it into your local Ford dealer asap for them to take a look at wat is going on!! You may cause more damage by waiting!!

Mine done that this morning as I pull out of a junction and the wheels spun..
Just pulled over, turned off the ignition and then re-started it..
Good as gold now....

I have just rang ford and they said, as nothing seems to be wrong with it now, then no need to bring it in to us!
so is aid if its fcuk ups from now till i get my service done i am holding them responseable

it would have been EAC fail i had this several times on my zs it's the fly-by-wire throttle going outside it's calibration i believe... took mine in once n they cleared the fault mems then i brought it back when it happened again... driving home lol took it back n they updated the programming and recalibrated it... (or so they told me neways) it happened again 1nce on the way home but hasn't ever happened again

gaz staines r pants, the worst dealer i have ever dealt with! i have had probs with them on this car i got, and my focus!

gorbash i was tapping the throttle when it happened so what u said sounds about right!
