Hi all,
We've been using a modification to the software code that provided search engine / visually friendly links... you may have noticed they all ended in .html
Much like any modification to something that wasn't meant to be... there were the odd hiccups... the modification was not only a headache to install, but it also caused various additional bugs across the forum software like not being able to view search results after the second page.
I also believe that it may have been causing some issues with the page load times.
Invision Power, the makers of our forum software incorporated their own built in basic friendly links system... I have decided to revert to that.
You may now notice the links across the website are now different looking... the downside to all this.... some of the old .html links may no longer bring you to the website. I will where ever possible fix this by redirecting the old links... if you come across any, please inform me.
I would recommend, re-bookmarking FiestaSTOC.com in your favourites if you have it added already.
Enough of the boring geek stuff....
NEW FEATURE ADDED - Topic Hover Preview:
You'll be pleased to see we now have enabled for 'Club Members' only Topic Hover Preview.

Simply hover your mouse over the link and you will see a preview of approx 500 characters of the first thread.
You'll be please to know, it works in 'View New Content' and 'Search' results..... in fact, it even works on the board index on the right of the forum category which shows the latest post (I didn't know it did that until just )
If you have any issues with this, please let us know in the errors and bugs forum.
Regards
Jim

Hi all,
As part of the general overhaul and upgrades across the FordSTOC and FordRSOC Networks, I have made a change to the user group names as follows:
Member > Forum User
Owner Member > Club Member
Collective > Enthusiast
Co-Ordinator > Network Staff
Access and features have not changed for anyone in these groups.
Regards
Jim

11/02/2010 - Further to my last update, I am in the process of moving house at the moment and I am therefore without the internet and unable to continue development of FiestaSTOC.com until approx 1 week time.
As you can see below, there has been progression and there's still plenty more to do.
Rather than the club remain closed, I have reopened in order that we can see if there are any bugs.
The IE problem "should" be resolved, however if you encounter any problems, please post a thread in the bugs forum.
Regards
Jim

Hi all,
Firstly let me get my apologies out of the way.
I've had to deal with some personal issues for the last four months, which I'll be honest got to the point where I couldn't bring myself to even log in on here or any of the other STOC or RSOC Network forums.
I unfortunately chose the completely wrong time to upgrade the forum software as days after doing so it coincided with my personal life issues.
This meant I left the staff and you all in a very frustrating position of managing/using an unfinished site, full of small, but very annoying bugs and errors.
I can only apologise for leaving everyone in this position, the staff were left in the lurch to take the brunt of your understandable frustrations, without being able to do anything about it.
I should now be able to commit more time to the Network, at this stage FiestaSTOC.com is my priority.
Below is a list of Problems I'm currently aware of and the developments I'm making on resolving them, any further issues will be added to the list as I come across them.
Please bear with me whilst I work on them:
ISSUES:
Microsoft Internet Explorer compatibility issues including slow loading, formatting errors
Smilies
Handbook System
Arcade System - STILL AWAITING STABLE WORKING VERSION
Topic Hover Preview

Hello Everyone
I know there are several issues with recent software updates to FiestaSToc.com so I'm asking everyone to please bare with us while we try and iron out the issues many are complaining about.
Myself, the Staff are all very frustrated with the current issues and we are all working together to try and improve the situation please respect our dedication and remain patient while we make any adjust to the site software and settings.
On a more positive note I have recently placed an order for polo shirts, full zip fleeces, half zip fleeces and jackets all branded with the FiestaSToc.com logo's. These will be in the club shop very soon so please keep an eye out for them.
I'd just like to thank all those that have been supportive and have contributed in a positive manner I hope you all continue to enjoy the Fiesta ST community you have all built and contributed towards
Regards
Scott

Hello all members,
On behalf of all Founders, Admin and Club Staff, I'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas!
I hope Santa brings you all everything that you wish for in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Hopefully you'll all have a great day, and the mayhem of running around like headless chickens in the run up to tomorrow will all be worth it :)
I wish you all the very best,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
