As we all know, ford have now confirmed that they are offering the upgrades for the fez, i think ill look else where as the cost seems abit high.

But im just wondering, for those of you that have had simular upgrades, whats the difference like ?

With 190 horses under the bonnet, what does it feel like ? Is it hugely noticable ?

Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing tbh, I'd hope so when you look at how much Ford want to charge. I'm sure we will get the answer soon...

180bhp was noticeable different. I've come from a brand new ST, modded it up to that spec, then changed it all back to standard, which gave me a better idea of how it felt than when building up the mods. The car pulls harder and with a more linear manner (but this may have been specific to my DS map), but in essence the difference isn't groundbreaking.

If you're after a huge change in power, then it's always better to just buy a faster car. It took me a looong time to realise that, but it really wasn't about the bhp with my car (and shouldn't be with yours). Spend an equal amount on handling mods and you'll get far more enjoyment out of your car than a few bhp ever could ).gif

Thanks Arun, have to say, your new motor looks great! thumbsup.gif

Thats what im unsure about, i know for not much more money you can get a more powerful car, but its just what car to look at. I love the fez but i know its alot of money to put into it...

Prob the best way to look at it as you tend not to make ur money back when selling and it can also cause warrently issues etc etc.

But saying that - I do appreciate some people like to make there car indivdual and they take pleasure in tuning it up thumbsup.gif

Exactly mate, it's a tough decision. I fully believe that modifying your own car to that sort of extent which makes it truly individual is one of the best things to do with a car. But it's one of those things that I think only has to be done once. I've done that now, and in a sense have grown out of it, coupled with seeing just how much money you lose at the end of it all. Other people can do it to every car they own, but for me, the experience got me looking for a car that's 90% sorted from the off. I found that with the R26.

The last thing i want to do is to look like i'm preaching to people to buy a faster car, just cos I have. That's not my intention, so I'm sorry if it sounds like that. This advice is what i'd give if I still had an ST.

190bhp you see a big difference top end esp.look @DJ KELS its an animal or look @ morgans that car go's well quick.do it properly and you will be happy for a long time then it will where off and you will want more power it dont stop. u might as well buy a rocket and be done with it lol
