Since the weather is getting better figure I'd go ahead and flock the dash in my st150, however I'm struggling to find any guides on the forums or elsewhere online.

does anyone have anything that would assist with the job or recommendations of where to start the removal?

I have a bunch of varying torx and regular screw driver heads, I was just going to purchase a cheap panel puller and stereo removal kit.

Cheers

@MantisTobaggan guessing you already know how to take the steering wheel off and gearstick surround out, so here are the remaining bits from memory:

Nut and two bolts on each side by the doors

Two bolts in the bottom centre

Various nuts and bolts behind the stereo (might have missed a couple!)

Bear in mind there are two clips beneath the centre of the dash near the windscreen; there is nothing to remove, you'll just need to wiggle the dash to get it out! Hopefully this is all of some use to you :smile:

@MickyD Haynes tend not to have a molested car :lmao: Not worth updating the thread at the moment but the brake lines have been made and fitted and I'm working on coolant lines now - probably going to have to order some more hose as it's being relocated.

@jase_llan

That's great really appreciate the photographs, assuming it's similar with the passenger side having the 3 areas near the door and a few bits in the glove box.

Am I best pulling the gauge cluster prior to the rest of the dash?

@MantisTobaggan yes you will have to pull the gauges first, it's just two screws at the bottom and a clip at the top of the gauges which you can get by pushing a screwdriver in gently.

@jase_llan fancy coming and taking my dash out for me? I've got a flocked one being prepared and having read your notes and remembering what a PITA job this is, you're welcome to it  :laughing:

Is that fuel bill for a Mk6 or a Mk7.... One is pennies the other requires a mortgage!!  :laughing:

@MickyD you should try owning a C63...  :boxed: if I hadn't had a fuel card, I'd have had a shell lorry attached to my fuel tank!!

@MickyD I can coax 45mpg out of it if I sit at 70mph on the M1, which you have to do anyway or get caught by all the cameras :whistle:

@andy22690 Sorted :nice:

Turned out to be a relatively easy job, if anyone's interested I have some photos of the finished product.

Pretty happy for under £25 and the first time flocking anything.
