Did ford get around to correcting the colour mismatch on the '' silver fox'' cars?

and if not how noticeable is the mismatch.

The one I took for a test drive was silver fox on a 69 plate and it was a good match. The light it's in also has a lot to do with it.

This is a new showroom car and it looks a good match: https://m.atcdn.co.u...df6024b6240.jpg

This would drive me mad, earlier car: https://drivetribe.i...crop&crop=faces

It looks good that

In my opinion silver fox is the only colour (other than orange) that makes the ST badge pop.

I cant see it

Some might be a slightly different shade but I think sometimes the way the light is shining on a car, or if it is in a shadow they might look mismatched, especially in photos. As long as it isn't really obvious it wouldn't bother me, especially once you are behind the wheel driving it

I think the issue isn't as apparent in later models

I can see it clearly on the second pic, but it's exactly like mine is.

Most people don't even notice, and it's not a deal breaker for me...I had a blue Focus years ago which had the same thing...life goes on

Yep, I can live with it as well, I am more worried about my upcoming first service just in case I might have an oil leak

Becuase the bumpers use a different primer it's not uncommon for them to be a slightly different shade, even on white or black.

I remember the body shop owner telling me about this some 12 years ago when I decided to turn my 1.8TDCi zetec into a "fake ST" with full body kit etc......😂👍

True......but red is a pig to match if you need to touch it up
