Thing with comparing hot hatches with purpose built sports cars is, hot hatches do it all.

Need to do the weekly shop? Take the ST.

Need to get to the airport with the suitcases? Take the ST.

Need to do a tip run? Take the ST.

Need to take 4 mates somewhere? Take the ST. What? You can't see 4 mates inside at the moment? Oh...

Anyway, you get the gist Hot hatches have almost no shortfalls.

Apart from the element of fun the other reason that I've decided to get an ST is the options for tuning and personalisation are so much higher. For fairly modest sums you can make lots of changes and that is what I've always liked to do with my cars.

 

I'll put a post up over the weekend after I hve picked up the car and give some first impressions.
