I was worn to unravelling trying to check the oil on these cars with the Sh*t dipstick so I found an alternative on Autodoc.

I know different years of the fiesta in the US have a different type dipstick but the cast one with the bevel ends on my '64 plate just catches residue oil from the tube so it is hard to get a reading

I trialled a few different ones to get the length right but here are the results

Photos I took are of the side by side with the two dipsticks, the seal position and the measuring increments side by side.

I've got one of these too, though oddly enough, I find the original on the right hand side easier to read!

Mine doesn't seem to smear all that much and gives quite a clear readout on the notches.

I guess Unicorns really do exist!
