After searching the forums as I know this topic has been discussed time and time again, however, I can't seem to find the answer I need. The car needs an MOT but I know the airbag bight illuminated will fail it. I have an OMP Steering Wheel and OMP Bucket Seats. I have refitted the OEM Wheel however I know I need to fit resistors to the wheel and seat connectors. Could someone please point me in the right direction? I have put a multimeter across the seat connectors and picked up voltage across where I have fitted the said resistors.
Your car should fail the MOT anyway with an aftermarket steering wheel as the airbag is missing if the tester actually follows the rules regardless of if the light is on. But its 2.7ohm not 2.7k for the resistor. I have to put my standard wheel back on for my MOTs because my MOT tester is thorough.
@Sam_Lougher can you explain exactly how you plugged in the resistor? I'm trying to do the same thing but not having much luck. Not sure I'm plugging in the resistor correctly. You got any photos of the plug?
Literally just poke the resistor in the holes and tape down to secure in. Thats all I did with mine and did the trick.
