So, i was just about to get a non-AC belt for the 1.4 and upon doing investigations I have discovered a potential spanner in the ointment.

Looking at the available belts on Gates website.. Can you spot the issue?

Alright chaps.

If anyone has gutted the AirCon pump, can you tell me roughtly whats involved please?

I mean it maybe obvious when i actually do it, i know i have to remove pretty much the whole front end to get to the aircon rad, pipework and dryer, but im guessing the pump is attached to some sort of spinny thingy. Does this need chopping off like an electric motor? and if so what stops the pulley dropping out?

Or do i have this totally wrong.
