Since fitting new timing belt following problems. Very poor starting sounds like not getting fuel, starts
after about 10 attempts then runs and drives spot on until I switch off and problem reoccurs. Also rev counter not working but does register when engine being cranked but as soon as started stops working.
on a couple of occasions when engine eventually starts no power steering. New Ford crank position sensor fitted all connection checked and cleaned. anyone come across similar faults please help

Who fitted the timing belt? I follow AJ motorsport on Instagram and they get tons of ST's that have had new belts fitted and the timing is out. It looks like the whoever fitted them weren't using the locking tool for the cams and doing it free hand.

I fitted timing belt myself using fulllocking kit on crank, cams and cranksensor. I had considered it could be timing but rechecked and definitively right. As I said once running performance is exactly as before.
