Dead easy mate.

I did it without the faff of the engine running.

Jack up front end so wheels are off the ground.

Split the pipe on the bottom wheel side of timing belt cover, plug up the pipe side that goes to the tank, pop the end from the rack into a container (got a yellow insert on it) and turn the steering slowly from lock to lock, keeping an eye that the tank doesn’t empty or it will fill with air.

when juices run clear it’s done. Reconnect, top up tank. I ran engine and lock to locked a few times with cap off just in case any air had got in.

wipe up mess from drive and congratulate yourself and thank the wife for doing the steering bit for you.

This was helpful though.

I’m guessing there’ll be chaps who say without the pump running you won’t get it all out but the fluid is now replaced and still clear in the tank after running engine and lock to lock for a bit so that’ll do for me.

cheers.

Just figured I’d change to a more apt pic. Still got the Triple just fancied a change now the Festa is on the road.

air con to go this weekend. (Hangover permitting - I’m out with the lads Friday)

went to get it degassed and turns out there was none in it so they didn’t charge me.

which reminds me must get a mortgage for a belt. 😂
