I wonder if an incorrect sized o ring was pre installed?

I reckon so, look at this pic, the connector on the left has the original o ring, the one on right is a replacement I got in a set, size is 14mm (ID) x 2.5mm.

Looking at the pic above no wonder one of the original o rings split.

Bigger On ring must have been loose.

Good to know, I might order some spares in case
