Evening all - took a phone call earlier from the local dealer and offered me the option of a mk8.5 ST for a very good price, albeit slightly above my monthly budget, but for a new car willing to go over slightly for a new car.

The only additional extras the car comes with are the SYNC 3 Nav with 12.3in digital cluster, and in white. I like my music so slightly disappointed it does not come with the Bose sound system - but I've coped without it all this time, so I guess it's not a huge miss (can always upgrade the speakers/sub later on).

Any idea what the speaker/stereo system will be like? I currently have a 19 Focus St Line and im happy enough with that stereo - can't see it been any worse than that??

It does not come with the winter pack, though I've got to be honest I've never really got along with heated seats - makes me feel like I need the toilet :ROFLMAO:

The car currently in Dagenham and should be available before the end of the month. Going down to finalise everything tomorrow after work. Excited

This sounds like my experience of buying an ST. This was an already built car residing in Belgium - no winter pack, race red, bog standard sound system. It took about 4 weeks to fall into my hands! The sound is fine to my ears but lacks volume, of course. No big deal for me but YMMV. Heated seats and steering wheel would have been nice last week, but driving in the snow had no appeal anyway!

I've not heard the b&o in a fiesta but the standard fit system is reasonable? winter pack waste of money I've had 6 cars that had heated seats and never used them once!!! they came as standard equipment but the best option on the fiesta is sadly no longer available the panoramic roof

I've had the b&o in last two ST's as it was standard (like many other things) but when I ordered this one it was not available as an extra at the time so will see. Never used the winter pack once even though it was fitted. Never gets cold enough nowadays. Another thing now missed off which I do like are the paddle mirrors. Enjoy car. Don't see many white ones my way and they look good

Deal agreed. When we initially spoke he told me it was in Dagenham, but before I went down yesterday he told me he was misinformed, currently on its way to Dagenham via boat - so fair enough. Expect deliver/pick up sometime in April.

Managed to get what I consider is a very good deal.

After I complained about not getting my deposit back from an initial deal (told me it had performance pack when it didn't), I dealt with someone higher up who told me they would do all they can to get a car to match my requirements. Managed to get a heavy discount, giving me good money for my part ex, and I'm paying a similar monthly to what I would have been on a 19 plate ST2, only with a slightly larger balloon payment. Overall, very happy - initially poor impression of dealership - but they have redeemed themselves.

Now you mention it, I don't think I have seen/noticed a white mk8.5 in the wild.

This will be the fifth white car I have had out of seven. I was initially looking for a used blue or silver fox one for a bit of variation, but I like white cars.

re speakers, I have a 19 plate focus st line 1.5 at the moment, can't imagine the speakers been any worse than them - and they're perfectly fine for me (B&O very good, but not worth bypassing the deal)

Not sure if it was sales speak, but the salesman did say with the SYNC 3 Nav with 12.3in digital cluster is an "upgraded stereo system".... but clarified it does not come with B&O.

He’s correct, Sync 3 with Nav is now an optional extra.

Sorry, my question wasn't clear.
I was trying to ask if the speaker/stereo system (sound quality) is an actual upgrade over standard spec, or whether it's just the functionality of the stereo itself
(currently have sync 3 with nav in my focus, presume it's the same functions that I have at the moment)

Ahhh sorry. The B&O uses the standard speakers, it just comes with an added subwoofer and added functionality on Sync to play with the equaliser.

If you've got Sync 3 in your Focus, it'll be exactly the same.

I've always enjoyed driving in snow it's great fun once you are out of town on an open road. In town is a but rubbish as you always get driving miss daisy types that see a few flakes of snow and feel 15mph is the correct speed everywhere 😂
I guess it depends on how bad the snow is. I usually wait until lots of other cars have driven on the road to clear the way before I go out

Always fun to find a nice snow filled empty car park ;)

The B&O system in the Fiesta has 2 front door mounted 160mm woofers, 2 rear mounted 160mm woofers, 2 rear 25mm tweeters, either in the rear doors or side panels depending on number of doors, 2 front dash mounted 25mm tweeters, 1 63mm mid in the dash top and a 200mm sub in the spare wheel well.

My guess would be stock system has no seperate tweeters but I can't find anything detailed on the stock 6 speakers with a quick google
