So today (Friday, April 8, 2022) put the handbrake handle, after I got it from my parents...

But what a bitch to get the cover back over the handbrake handle, yesterday at my parents' car had much less problems with it, but well, it worked...

Yesterday (Tuesday, April 5, 2022) I already removed the stick, after asking how you can disassemble the holder earlier on and getting an answer of course, didn't want to screw this up, this is now done aswell.

So today (Wednesday 6 April 2022) the mod (Gas struts) is totally finished!

Looks the protection film is still on the Ford Performace logo on the engine cover.

Indeed it is. I wonder if it's bad to leave it on...

Even on one of my pedals, there is still a plastic cover ;)

Up to the next update...

It is Sunday (April 24, 2022), the wife is on her work, the daughter is with the grandparents and the son is watching a movie, so I had to do something aswell, right... activate some functions in the APIM (SYNC3 )....

Driver Assistance:
  • Cruise Control -
  • Speed Limiter (not found yet)
  • Lane-Keeping Assist +
  • Pre Collision Assist +
  • Traffic Sign Recognition +
  • Rear View Camera +
  • BLIS (not found yet)
  • Wrong Way Alert (first need to solve the problem with IPMA)
  • Cross Traffic Alert -
  • Driver Alert +
  • Auto StartStop +

Vehicle Settings:
  • 30min Max Idle (not found yet)
  • Rear Occupant Alert +
  • MyKey (not found yet)
  • On-Board Modem Serial Number +
  • Chimes +
  • Windows +
  • Wipers -
  • Lighting +
  • Locks +
  • Mirrors +
  • Passenger Airbag (Visible, but when I want to change something, no effect)
Everything with + works as it should, everything with a - behind is light gray, so it doesn't work (yet)...

Some interesting stuff there, makes for a good read.

Those things in your list with a "+" next to them. Many of those are standard features, so there's nothing to activate (eg lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition) - is that what you're saying? You're trying to activate those with a "-". Or am I misunderstanding?
Or are you doing something else?

Cheers,
MarkP

Well...

In the IPC, this are things that I have by default, but there is a possibility to have this on your APIM (SYNC3 screen) aswell, so I activated those with Forscan.

I have everything from the list on my car, but some can be activated to see them aswell on the SYNC3 screen and some stay grey after activation to see them on your SYNC3 screen and cannot be used by touching it on the SYNC3...

-----------------------------------

Last night until 11:30 pm I was talking to a person via Discord about the error I had when I tried to activate WWA [got pre-collision error and cam (IPMA) error], but eventually, I received the solution from that person.

Tonight (Tuesday 26 April 2022) first tried those solution on my parents' car (have older IPMA, which I have already upgraded in terms of hardware, on their Fiesta MK8), by changing certain things in the IPMA with Forscan, it finally worked to activate this function, which they and I will probably never need, without an error message...

Then afterwards, tried the same solution on MY car and where I always immediately got an error message in the past, I succeeded in activating this function.

Movie about the feature on a FOCUS, but it works on a FIESTA aswell

So GREAT Success!

But I guess some more updates to the software are necessary to let all the features work as intended...

But it's a start nonetheless, but I wonder if the modules are the same as ours and we can update the firmware on our modules so we can make ours a 8.5 more or less?

Already ordered part 1 of 2 from Ford dealer today (Monday May 23, 2022).

The intention is that choosing the mode is done on the steering wheel instead of on the center console...

I personally find it a bit too cumbersome to always change the driving mode at the gear lever and certain models, including the ST Edition, have those button on the steering wheel.

The part I ordered is the button for the center console, button for steering wheel will follow a bit later, because that price is abit high for now... and still need to order my carbon strut brace aswell

@Dragunov Really cool things you doing mate. Is it possible to give us more information on how you activated them on the SYNC3 screen system with forscan.

Also since you are going all out do you know that 2019 cars had auto headlight levelling built-in with the full led option my car has this option. Let me know if you want to expand on this.

Also, I was looking around regarding heated washers I think you can add the wiring on yours. It is pigi back with the rear screen and heard mirrors button. So you can get a feed from the fuse box

For Driver Assistance
First u need to check this in Forscan (APIM):
7D0-09-02 xxxx xxxx x*xx
If you have a '0', set to '1

For Vehicle Assistance
Then with the search button in easy mode, u need to search for the thing u want to activate and then activate it.

You need to enable the options one by one. U don't enable the entire menu but you enable sub settings and then the menu shows itself. If you look in your IPC on your car (not via FORscan) and look at the lock menu, then u see autolock, auto unlock, then u need to search for this parameter

Already switched the unit in the console this afternoon (Wednesday, June 15 2022), all in all it was not too bad...

First you have to unclip the handbrake cover from the console, then you can unclip the unit on the left, on the right you can't get it loose at all, so I first tried with a piece of plastic, but didn't work. Then I used a butter knife on the right side and unit finally came off completely.

Unit can be raised just enough to click the plug loose, because the wiring harness is fairly short.

The original unit has an extra pin for the S mode button (pin at the top left of the photo)

Strut bar has already been ordered, but on back-order, so still need to wait for those..

This morning (Monday, July 11, 2022) had the first service performed on the Fiesta and the right button mounted in the steering wheel for the S Mode...

Was expected there at Ford dealer around 8 am as I was the first on the schedule, so I took a little walk with the family before picking up the car again...

Three things were on the program regarding the car:

  • FSA 22S21: oil separator had to be checked because it could have been damaged during assembly, luckily nothing found
  • Routine maintenance [replacing the oil filter (FINIS 2 207 993), oil (Magnatec PROF 5W20 CASTROL), the oil drain plug (FINIS 2 261 879), window cleaner with antifreeze, odor and micro filter (FINIS 2 092 437) and of course a year Ford Assistance for free]
  • Installing the right button in the steering wheel

The car was ready after about an hour and a half and after paying my debt there, immediately tested whether the right button worked again... (Had already adjusted the ABS and the SCCM module with UCDS last night, so original right button no longer worked at all and I also got an error message in module SCCM in UCDS... Logical, because I already told the module another button was placed, so module didn't recognize this button anymore, in ABS I also had to changed the button and also told the module the button would no longer be in the HVAC, but in the SCCM...)

So button pressed and menu came directly on the screen, you have two kinds of buttons: S and Mode, S button only switches between normal and Sport, where the Mode button goes through all the settings... Normal, Sport and Track

Almost the complete version of the ST Edition now: Red start button, S mode on the steering wheel, not gonna install the Ford coilovers , instead gonna place those Eibach springs, bought at Ford dealer and already in my possession for a long time...

Updated the maps of my SYNC3 to F11 aswell today (Thursday July 21, 2022), took way too long in my opinion (almost two hours), but it seems I used a very slow USB stick (SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 128GB) aswell, so if there are any more updates in the future, gonna look for a faster stick (e.g. Corsair Flash Voyager GTX)

Today (Tuesday, July 26, 2022) dealer gave me a call, the Ford Performance carbon strut bar arrived, gonna place those one together with the Eibach lowering springs (but here in Belgium u are not allowed to fit those springs yourself, they need to place those at the dealer, he also needs to sign a document he did the job and also email Ford for another document.... Then we need to go to the MOT, there they check the allignment of the wheels, the documents given by the dealer, if a wooden block doesn't fall if they drive over those one, ....)

And... today (Monday, August 8, 2022) went to the dealer to pick up the strut bridge. The receptionist and the warehouse manager both wanted to see the strut bridge aswell (was still in a closed box), so they opened the box and both were full of praise for it... Beautiful finish, feather light, ...

So, enjoy (hopefully...)!

The strut nuts still have to be ordered separately, because according to the manual, the original ones, once disassembled, must be thrown in the trash... You can also see that the left and right attachment of the strut bridge have a different shape, on the left attachment the air conditioning pipe is attached and on the right one a ground cable is attached ...
