I know a lot of you like the good old Nordschleife, I've done it a few times and it's a great place to be. But honestly it's a kart track compaired with even the "short" or Piccolo circuit of the Targa Florio near Palermo, Sicily.

72km's with a track record of 79.890 mph or 33 min 36 s

First raced in 190blob through to the late 1960s and early 1970s, sports cars with up to 600 hp like Ferrari 512 Le Mans prototype's raced through small mountain villages while the people were sitting or standing right next to or even on the road.

Here's a few pics from our hols last week. The pits area just after the start line, round the bend, at the bottom of the hill.

The village of Creda, where the black Alfa is parked (our hire car) the top boys would be pulling 175/180 mph.

And up in the hills, no I haven't put the Alfa into that wall!!!

If you get a chance…. Do it !!!
