Well I stand corrected. I’ve been trawling around on the net using BH to no avail and now I know why. Many thanks ‘ Dangerousdriver77’ for unearthing the correct code.

Just to add to the mix, went to my local and very excellent car body repair shop today to have a paint chip on the door sorted. Well he did an excellent job with an exact colour match of ‘Performance Blue Indianapolis’ , colour code 3CVC —-Interesting.

To reply to ‘Dangerousdriver77 enquiry, It was just a touch up but professionally done. If I had the paint touch up kit, I would have done it myself however, it wouldn’t have been as good.

Hi fella, just ordered a kit from Chipex for this colour repair, just hoping it is the right colour? I perhaps should have gone to Halfords after going through everyone's comments about Chipex it came up as Performance Blue, Cyclone, Indianapolis wasn't cheap either £37 better do a good job for that price :facepalm: . I had to resort to this because Iam getting nowhere with my local dealership after pointing out the damage I spotted a week after picking up the car, two annoying chips on the drivers door and one or two on the rear bumper.

I hope the paint from Chipex is a good match. It seems that car paint colour matching is a dark art and the repair shop I went to won't sell colour pots for home use. However, I found Refinish Systems Limited on line that do chip repair kits at very good prices. They could do the match using the American FM code.
