Hi,

What hot tyre pressures are people running on track tyres for the front and rear..

  • Are you keeping the 10 PSI difference between the front and rear, eg 36 and 26?
  • Or are you keeping tyres at the recommended hot pressure all round?

Thanks

I normally aim for 2 bar all round hot , and adjust from there depending on how the car acts on the day

The car will rotate round the corners pretty well on that (PS4 tyres)

Im in r888r now so Ill try the same next weekend at Blyton and see how they do

Right thanks, Toyo recommend 35PSI +/- a few PSI for hot R888R pressures for the weight of our cars (1100-1200 kg?).

The R888R's are probably what I am going to run as track tyres/wheels, so very interested on how you get on.

I always run my rears at a lower pressure unless I want to send it sideways. Helps with grip.

I usually just aim for the pressures on the door hot, then adjust from there through feel. I often find that the fronts need to come down a bit, so if I lower them, I let the same amount out of the rears too to keep parity.
