I know! Cant believe that they can be purchased from major online stores for not that much either!
Was just thinking of door security. We had two fiestas stolen from work and the owners were perplexed as they werent keyless entry and there was no smashed glass. I explained the screwdriver technique shown on YouTube cctv.
Back in the day when I had a Saxo lots of owners were de-locking the car, which made the car look a little better too. There was also a company that made like a bolt that would pop out (from the area where the tyre psi info stickers are on the fiestas) and into the door. It was triggered by the central locking fob, so if someone physically attacked the lock the door would remain locked. Ive been searching the web for then but cant find them.
a scrwdriver wouldnt bypass a deadlock though? thats if they activated it? only way would be to access obd and then generate key which would unlock door and remove deadlock- thats my thinking?
Theres a video on YouTube of a fiesta being stolen off a drive way, they use what looks like a screw driver, hammered in and turned hard anti clockwise. I guess the whole lock mechanisms turns and unlocks the car.
Have you tried contacting a locksmith to pock anti-locks?
