Well having been a member here for a good while now its about time i started my thread. It has been and will be a slow moving project but i have had plent of changes some massive and some not so since becoming a member of this fantastic fourm. Got to say i am a massive Ford man and one of these people who will only have a blue oval at my door but hey thats just me.

When i seen the ST first uncovered i couldnt even drive as i was still not even 17 but i have got there with what i wanted and now on my second ST and forth fantastic Fiesta.

My first Fiesta was a 2001 1.25 zetec as i had to start some where on the ladder. Sensible mods on the car just a nice sun strip, boot build, fresh MK badges on the rear and of course the escort GTI 15in wheels (cossie style)

Incase anyone from main land UK wants to know what the stupid R in the window is for, over here in Northern Ireland you have to have these on for a year by law to show you have just passed your test and you are restricted to 45mph
........yea right lol.

From here the next step was to wait for insurance to go down and of course whats the next step???? 2001 MK5 Zetec S!!!
Picked this up in 2007 was a great buy from a man in his 60's never abused had to sell as a new c-max and grand children did not really work in a 3door fez!!

The car had just over 40k when i picked up for a steal at £2,200

With this i spent more time and money with it doing the things i felt was sutible and not to over the top.

Spec.........

Lowered on G-Max springs and shocks stiffened with a strut brace and proflex bushes all round, handling was unreal on the tight twisting roads where i live.

Boot build from my 1.25 installed.

K&N 57i

Tinted windows and wind deflectors

Ford mud flaps

MK6 badges.

EBC green stuff pads.

This was the last show the Zetec S seen in my hands and in october 2009 the obvious move had to be made for the
.
Was very had to let this car go loved it so much but needs must and more power and something new was needed.

Well the day had arrived when i decided to go looking at ST's seen and drove around 4 was really wanting a 500 but being so rare in Northern Ireland i just could not get one. So i came across an 07 frozen white one and traded my zetec s in for it managed to get £1900 of the price of the ST

So i picked it up from the dealers in Ballymena it already had eibachs extra low springs tinted windows rear lights and side lights. It had an terrible back box on there car which i thought was pants so asked for to change it to standard for me.

Was happy enough with that and headed of from the dealers with i really cool note from the rear that was very different ill get to that later. So got it home washed and polished and everyone was say wow what a car lol i live in a small town by the way.

By this stage i had signed up hear and got asking the question whats the whistle from my exhaust. I decided to start a topic on this and found out the new exhaust that Ford had fitted for me was wrong.

Sounds cool in my opinion so never bothered to change it had plans for a cat back but never got round to it.

Next up for the car was get the brakes painted up in panther black and also the cheep gray plastics, done the brakes myself on a sunny day but the plastic i left to the pros as i had never paint plastic before lol.

loved the car they way i had it but looking in the car adds i came across something i just had to have a look at because i had never seen one in the metal at all
and here we go again lol

I seen a 500 going in a dealership in Craigavon quite a distance from where i live and i just had to take a look at it.

On first impression i loved it, loved it so much i asked for a test drive. The panther black paint the full leather heated seats, carbon on the dash black wheels and that little badge on the dash that stated limited edition, i knew i just had to have it. The car used to belong to a member here Thomas who looked after it to the highest standards and it had only 13K on the clock when i seen it.

After a brief chat with the sales woman too see what the craic was i went for a wee drive and a think, 15minutes later i was back and said where do i sign

A few days passed the phone call car through to say my new car was ready

So i got to work swapping my plastics and other bits over to the 500.

Wish i could have kept the white car but needs must and indeed i had to say good bye to my first ST.
Loved the car driving home and the ride on standard springs was very comfy but the rear end was very lose which i was not used to and had the tail out on the way home to my surprise but held of course and first thing was first get it cleaned and inform Fiestastoc what i had done lol

when home.

You really just cant beat a clean panther black car yes white was great love it still to but for deep shine black is the best by far.

Now lets get to it with the modding

Like 99% of people on here the first place to start was of course the K&N 57i. I didnt mange to get round to getting one for the white car so i was very very happy with how much better the car pull high in the rev range and of course the noise that was to be had. I got this of a fellow stoc member and was in nearly new condition and had just been cleaned.

Had to stick it on when i got home from meeting him and wasted a good bit of petrol that night as im sure everyone else has lol

I failed to take pictures at the time so thats why its not looking as it once did but there is a plan to change this in the near future. to anyone out there going to fit a 57i get you cold air feed in some where it is a squeeze but will be worth it and get more cold air round the filter.

Next up sort out the handling and get it looking more like a car rather that a 4x4 lol.

Paul from the Northern Ireland section sorted me out with some normal eibachs thanks again to you mate. The effect as most will agree was amazing a lot more grip and helps with the cornors and reduces lift off oversteer.

After this i went on holidays to the fantastic island of Ibiza as some of you may know very expensive place to go so modding had to stop until the new year and next up on the step ladder was a mongoose flexi pipe.

For the money all this costs its a cracking bit of kit opening up the car even more and to the standard it should have been sold in. You can feel a difference low down pulling better and mated to the 57i works very well. I took on the challange of fitting this myself and was very easy if you have the right tools. I went to a DIY garage which provides ramps air guns etc... which was needed because the 4 bolts holding the flexi in place are a right
to get off lol. remember to un-plug the lamda sensor before you remove the standard flexi though if you take the up the task
.

Next up i had to go for the now very famous mikegoodmanmotorsport RS front splitter along with my mate Conor who just bought himself an ST lol. Very very easy to fit yourself. % point on the splitter are maked put in some guide hole with a drill get the car in the air at the front get the splitter g-clamped to the bumper line up to how you want it to sit and drill into the bumper bolt on job done.

This how we got the car up in Conors drive cheers mate by the way

On my car

I also fitted mudflaps i got for the white car which i never got round to fitting. Pain in the ass with the brackets and all but in add to keeping the car cleaner and to anyone who knows or owned a black car every little helps

Next had to be a Cat back of some sort. I have never had a "loud" exhaust on a car before the reason being i feel they are one pointless addition to anything below a 2litre engine, really annoying on 1.2's etc.......in my opinion if it does not have a purpose do not waste time and money bolting a back box on but each to there own in this area.

with future plans in my mind the direction i had to go with was of course the Mountune cat back. Fantastic but of kit nice note not to loud and small pops on the over run which im happy with.

I know it needs a clean in this picture but sure its there and its on

So Northern Ireland Ford fair comming up and me just changing my job had some spare cash and with summer coming up some tinted windows and new number plates where on the cards. Not to everyones liking but its my car and ill do what i want

I also had to order some new club stickers as the big old ones had to go to make room for the tints.

Before i went to Ford fair how ever i had to get some new rear disks and pads i was hoping they would have lasted longer as i had a plan in the pipe for something else and i also had an issue with my front grill falling of due to rubbish ford dealer fixing my head lights under warrinty. the result was it getting run over and also the new one i had bought. I got another got it paint and went to the local body shop i would use who showed me the problem as to why it was falling of. This and another factor has put my nezt mod plans back a bit so hope i can still go ahead with it.

So with everything fixed and working how it should Ford fair was upon us and good to meet up with the fellow memebers from here. The weather was rubbish but was worth the trip. Was very upsetting on the way up as i spent my weekend getting the car cleaned new rear brakes and grill etc. was worried about the engine bay getting dirty as well but was fine lol.

The weather on the way up got my car dirty great pics from Phil and his mate

So the rapid detailer had to come out and thankfully we all got the chance between the rain to get the cars sorted.

Thanks Kyle just glad this car has been so well looked after before hand. I hope to keep it that way but have my own stamp on it to.

Its funny how the parts on and off the car have went and where parts i have gathered have came from. This fourm has been a great help in the work and ideas that has went into it and im delighted to be a part of it.

Are all your plastics just done in a gloss black? The lower grille looks like it has a slightly more matte finish to it. Could just be my eyes though lol
