Hi all, I have had my 9 month old ST-3 for 10 days now and today I went to fold the near side wing mirror in so it didn’t get hit in the car park and it came off in my hands!🙈
I have tried to re-attach it but it doesn’t want to play so I have had to buy some gaffer tape and tape it up to get me home,
Does anyone know how or if it goes back on and if there’s a technique or is it knackered.

My guess is that the previous owner has damaged that and either they or the dealership has tried to hide it (and hope it doesn't get noticed till later down the line).

I'd take it back to the dealer to get it fixed under warranty.

Are they not powerfold at all? Excuse my ignorance as I don't have a Mk8/.5, but is the chip shortage meaning they're not powerfold at all? I thought it was just they didn't fold on locking/unlocking.

Not powerfold at all, they’re completely manual folding

Thanks, yes not power fold or heated, Which was a surprise considering it has heated seats and steering wheel
