I have the M235HT tune on my Fiesta ST (upgraded from MR230) and I've been having problems with it. The cars MOT was 2 weeks after flashing the M235HT map. The car failed the MOT on emissions and not just a bit out, it was way out. The MOT inspector suspected the car to be running rich due to the map on the car, warning this would damage the CAT and Turbo. I reinstalled the MR230 map, did 80 miles worth of driving and made sure the the emissions readiness monitor statuses were completed using the TDN app. The car passed the emissions re-test 'clean as a whistled', which to me suggests there is no problem with the car. I have reinstalled the M235HT map with the view to getting the emissions rechecked after the car has all the emissions readiness monitor statuses completed. Unfortunately after 500 miles of driving the Oxygen Sensor readiness is still incomplete.

Do other M235HT owners have the Oxygen Sensor readiness status as incomplete?

What MPG are you achieving? (I'm getting around 40MPG on the M235HT map, I was able to achieve 47MPG on the MR230 map.)

I’ve always had a developing fault code on my car since MR230. Something to do with efficiency on bank 1 sensor or something.

Mountune said this was normal…
Hi Logsi, Thank you for your replies. Interesting that you say that Mountune said that it was normal for MR230 to develop a fault code. My car was on MR230 for 5 years and never had fault code come up. That said the car been on M235HT for the past 4 months and recently had a P2279:95:28 Intake Air System Leak Bank 1, incorrect assembly fault code flag up. I had the car checked over but couldn't find any issues with it so the code was cleared. The car has been running fine, just worried about the potential rich fuelling damaging the CAT.

The car (M235HT) did go into the MOT cold but the emission figures were so far out there had to be a problem with the car or map. All previous MOT's I've had done the car (MR230) has been cold with no issues, but I do realise that the CAT works optimally when very hot. I took the car (MR230) in warm for the MOT emissions retest.

I've checked the battery on the car which is now 8 1/2 years old and its coming up as weak. So I will change this soon. I've read that a weak battery can cause sensor gremlins.

I have my gear change indicator back now though…
None of the Mountune maps I've had on my car have shown the gear change indicator. Might be worth checking which map has been installed.
