That sounds like a good idea to me. Keep it all in one clear place!

 

Mk8 hasn't got a release date yet, so it's just 'mid flow' until then. Plenty of sections to file these 'mid flow' posts into.

 

I spotted fog lights & exhaust similar to the outgoing ST, I don't think the twin exhaust was on the Mk8 ST line which we already know about.

 

If its 300bhp with a diff and big brakes i might be tempted. Otherwise... nah.

I reckon it will be similar performance to mk7 as they need to keep it in the price range of the small hot hatches and Ford have been good at undercutting the rivals with arguably a better car.

Will certainly be interesting to see what they unveil on Friday though

im expecting nothing amazing, just a MK7.5 ST in a new dress.

 

What specs does the Mk8 ST Line have? Other than the engine and bodywork I suspect it will be identical in terms of features, lighting etc.

Not a fan of the looks at the moment, while I'm not totally against 5 door hatches, the Mk8 with 5 doors seems to make it look more like a small C Max

 

I think when the full video comes out on the 24th you will learn nothing about the car at all, in the same way they released the video of the RS being driven around lommel by ken block, it'll be a teaser before a proper release later maybe at Geneva.

I'm thinking the wheels might be 18" as that's what Ford

are fitting to the new Vignale version.

I also think they're gonna have to go some to improve on the looks

of the ST Line front end, I really like it. :thumbsup:

 

I think it's going to be like people have already said and this will be more of a face lift than anything else for the body styling.

 

Well considering that the current ST is essentially a Zetec S with a different front bumper and rear diffuser then I wouldn't hold out for much of a radical departure from the already revealed ST Line.

I'm expecting a slightly more aggressive Focus RS/Ford GT inspired front facia (check out the facelifted Mustang for ideas). Then some sort of rear diffuser affair with twin pipes and maybe more 'vents' in the bumper and black/diamond cut 18" wheels.

Ultimatley it's going to be a Fiesta/Corsa/Clio mashup.

I imagine as well that they may also keep it tame in case they ever do a Fiesta RS.

 

I'm really not a fan of the new rear end, it looks like its going to be very similar to the st-line fiesta 2017 back... and I wonder if the wheels in the video will come on the car...

Still not a massive fan of the 1.5 3 cylinder engine though. Goes against the whole ethos of a hot hatch IMO.
