Hi,

I've had my timing belt changed on my 2013 st180 just over a month ago.

About a week ago I got the check engine light so ran a scan and p0016 came up. I cleared the code and the check engine light has not reappeared since.

Now when I run an obd2 scan I get the trouble codes shown in the pictures.

Is this something I should be worried about? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading

Thanks for responses.

I've got to take it back to the same place unfortunately as it is covered under the warranty otherwise I'd have to pay again at a different place.

I've also read that it could be an issue with one of the sensors.

Is it a big job to correct the timing issue if that is what it is?

Yes. It's basically the same job again but without fitting the parts. Everything needs striping off the gain access to use the timing tools.

The 1.6 l Ecoboost has some important things regarding the mechanical timing of the 2 camshafts, the crankshaft, the crankshaft pulley with crankshaft position Sensor tone ring and the correct torque and angle for the crankshaft pulley bolt.
When the mechanical timing is right and corrected, it's important to know that the stored values of the crankshaft and camshaft positioning sensors in the engine control module PCM must be erased and new learned.

With any capable diagnostic tool. Ford IDS or FDRS, or Forscan.

The 2 camshaft positioning sensors on the right top side of the engine have some times the problem that Motor oil is getting from small cracks at the sensor is getting in the connectors. There are two 3 Pin connectors, one in the front and one in the back of the engine. The camshaft positioning sensor must be correct installed in his correct position. He has a little plastic guidance Pin.
