I could be completely wrong here bud, but the bubbling just looks like the tint has been applied poorly. I would take it to a local tinter and get a quote to have it redone rather than buying a whole new tailgate.

That is assuming there is tint on there and my eyes aren’t deceiving me!

Thanks for the replies guys. Big help. When I’ve got some spare time at home I’ll have a look at tinting costs and have it re-done. As I said, it’s not currently too invasive.
I think the rear passenger windows could do with it as well. Cost of owning an older car I suppose. Upshots are fantastic though

Tinting can be fairly cheap, just make sure your going to a reputable place, and whatever you do, don’t buy tint film and try it yourself 😂 Been there too many times, I can barely put on a phone screen protecter without bubbles 😂
