Serviced and MOT'd for another year.

Oh, I also took a picture of it with a half eaten chocolate bar 🤷‍♂️

Two hours of joyous B Road fun this morning (10-20% off for the conditions).

Short pitstop for bacon baps and coffee then two hours of cleaning... mostly small brush work to get all that pesky salt grime out of the grille holes.

All worth it though, as its drying off in the bright winter sun it looks a million dollars 😍

Finally cleaned it.

Judging by this thread, the last one was on November 12th 2022...so been over 2 months 🫣

Kind of due to weather, been pointless due to all the rain and then couldn't due to everything being frozen for weeks.

Was out there in just a t-shirt today though(trousers too), very mild.

Forgot just how glossy it comes up. Even did the fiancées Polo.

Booked its first service for March and gave it a much-needed wash. Looks much better now.

Plenty of stubborn little spots however, so planning to pick up some tar remover and maybe a clay bar to go over the paint, as I could feel how speckly it was with dirt through the mitt.

Any recommendations? Haven't clayed a car before but watched a few videos. Have considered just sending it to a detailer for a day but would like to learn myself too.

Finally gave it the first contact wash in 6 months! Still a lot of areas I missed though.
Rear pads arrived in the post.
Getting new tyres today, nervous as hell leaving the car with someone else, hopefully will be ok :)
I had a right to be worried, these were my wheels before (photos taken yesterday)

after cleaning off all the gunk at least 3 are now damaged

Can't actually quite believe how bad they are, they must have been throwing them around! Also scratches around the centre caps  Now even if I get them to accept the damage and refurb them, I've got the hassle of letting someone else near my car and potentially messing something else up

Gave it a quick sponge wash yesterday before it's MOT this morning and it passed, but the tracking is out as the 7 month old front tyres are nearly at the limit on the inner edges. Oh joy.
