Are the exhausts on Mk7 in sections then (as in not welded shut)?
The standard Mk6 exhaust was all sealed and welded into a single unit so to fit a sports cat/ decat involved an angle grinder and a brave face!

It shouldn't do, but according to Collins Performance when you decat the mk7's, the turbo wants to push more boost through... So there is a chance that it could go into 'limp mode'.

Not so much the turbo 'wants' to boost more, it's that it can boost more. It's the whole "back pressure" topic.
On an N/A engine, you want a certain amount of back pressure in the system to keep things running properly... However, on a turbo, there are 2 parts where back pressure builds up... 1 between manifold and turbo and then after the turbo.
A turbo works best when the pressure builds up between the mani and the turbo, to spool it up...but then you want as little pressure as possible afterwards so that the turbo isn't being 'held back'.
Still, most sports cats give more than enough flow to give this benefit and keep things legal.

how hard is it to fit the sytems on this car? ive done it on corsas and the old fiestas but thats it and this one looks alot harder haha
