Does the pump run for the front screen?

the pump only runs for the back screen, not the front screen. the spray button also doesn't activate the wipers but the wipers work if you turn them on normally

Sounds like a replacement stalk is needed (plenty on EBay for around £25 and easy enough to fit yourself), I doubt a single fuse is responsible for the pump and the wipers, but check first.
