Sounds like it spends a fair amount of time parked up as opposed to being driven. So with regards to the tyres, I suspect it isn't being washed and having tyre dressing applied that often.

That, plus the fact you mention the sun, will cause tyres to dry out and crack.

As for the bushes, seen it mentioned a fair bit. The ride is hard so kind of expect bushes to have a bit of a hard life.
