Just watched The Grand Tour with the ST in it and it was pretty disappointing to be honest, not much of a review just ******* about in the ST, Polo GTI and Yaris GRMN doing daft challenges. Will probably get more from Top Gear on Sunday about how the cars actually drive etc !!

Yes! I like your Youtube reviews. Theres far too many "look how fast i can go!" and "Lets do skids!" type reviews.
Yours are more of a continuing ownership reviews and what long term owners may choose to do to their car. I would still like to see a multiple map dyno review of the MK8. You have Revo, i have MaxD, if we could find a Collins owner and Mountune and arrange a dyno day i think that would make a good vid for your channel. 4 different maps on the same dyno on the same day with no single company affiliation would make a great comparison.

That would make for some interesting viewing! I'm told that the Dreamscience Stg1 Map is complete so we should see that soon also

Needless to say Chris Harris absolutely loved the little Fiesta! A great watch...

 

Nice little review. Shame the air time Was took up by the lambo but seeing the fiesta getting thrown over racing kerbs was pretty funny.

 

I got serious non-buyers remorse watching that review, what a great watch.

He makes a great point - it sits right in the sweet spot of what is usable performance on UK roads. Anything faster and you just find yourself frustrated 95% of the time... I should have bought one.

 

Was a good review up until the part where he said it was better than the Mk7 (I joke)

Thoroughly enjoyed the Top Gear review tonight - I thought they hit the nail on the head to be honest, and made the same point I've been making to my friends for years... It's about FUN!

Although, I'd probably take the Lambo over the Fiesta :lol:

 

You could always pop into your local ford, even if you have only changed your car recently you could change your car in 18 months depending on how you financed your current car, the ST is going be around for a few more years yet :thumbsup: :st:

GT this Friday was again a pretty poor show, overall I think Top Gear this season was better than the GT. A great review from Chris Harris and spot on with the ST being the perfect sports car for the UK roads, I had a MK7 new a few years ago and loved it, I didnt even test drive the new MK8 and was amazed how such a great car in the MK7 could be improved that much.

 

Fact: Harris+any car to review=good and interesting to watch. You can just see that he cares and loves cars so much. You can just see his face light up was it a damn 2cv on country lanes or a ultra rare Porsche on a racetrack.

 

I don't think TGT has been poor this season at all, by far the best season.

Top Gear has been good too.

TGT didn't do a review of the Mk8 ST, it was just an entertainment segment which included it.

My brothers boss was the helicopter pilot who performed this stunt - he didn't get permission from the CAA to do it and it resulted in him getting his pilots licence suspended for a couple of months :laugh:
