M235 underwhelmed?

So I’ve just installed the M235 and gone out for a quick run, and to be honest I cannot tell the difference? Should the difference be night and day, or am I expecting too much? Do I have to drive the car harder to notice? I have just the Mountune panel filter, but surely that won’t affect it too much. I feel a bit short changed at the moment😬🙃

Tsots' old boy, i'm not angry, I'm just disappointed 🤦🏻

But I can still just about see your shoes poking out of the mapping and modding rabbit hole.

Would you like me to pull you back out before you become a total lost cause?

🤣
With the family wagon looming in the distance, I thought I would give it a go before it’s too late 😆

I did think about the M260, however I didn’t want to have to spend too much on hardware upgrades. All the reviews on the M235 have been positive, albeit more conservative than the rest of the ‘stage 1’ maps, but I still was hoping for more…I’m going to give it another go tonight with a different map and see…

Update.
Did the stock to remap again and it appears to have solved the issue oddly! The car is a lot faster and the extra torque is awesome. The pops and bangs are much more numerous, although they don’t sound as loud, perhaps a new exhaust is needed now…😬. I will definitely need to buy a new torque mount as try as I do to modulate the throttle, it does wheel hop quite a bit now with the extra power, maybe I’ll learn to put it down better once when the novelty has worn off…m260 must be insane.

I had the same issue. Went for a Mountune one. Had no issues since and connects the car to the road much better including a better gearbox/gear change feel. Not too bad with the A/C on at standstill either.

I've found the same with the Dreamscience map.
Standard maps (95/ 97/ 99) - no pops at all, DS say the factory overrun is mapped out which is why so you have to buy the overrun map £50
Overrun 99 map - pops in neutral while stationary, can't hear anything on the move so not worth £50 if you're wanting noise but does enable launch full time (never used it)
