I picked up my :blue: last month and still waiting for my dealer to call me for installation of my mp3 connector.

The dealer is still awaiting part No for this.
The item cost about £20 and the are going to install it for about £10......they have said

Keep us posted on this, if it's only £30 inc fitting i'd be interested in one, i'm sure a few others would be on here too

assuming it's compatable with pre facelift that is!!

thats a good price if correct, as its £20 for the option for a factory fitted!!!

 

I didnt think this could be done on a pre face lift.

OK - good news. my salesman has tracked down the part number for the MP3 cable and jack that plugs into the back of the 6006 Head UNIT cd player/radio.
---> AM6S6J19C150AA <--- They are going to come back to me with a price and I will psot this as soon as I get it.

 

Yours is a facelift, i assume this isnt aval for the pre face lift?

Yeah, I have a facelift....... Dunno if it will work on the pre-facelifts silver Head unit. Is the model number of the unit the same, with different faces?

 

I ordered the ipod connection with mine, but it turned up without it, the dealer told me it will be in 'soon'!! which is just another mark down in my book... there new slogan should be -' FORD, Great cars, let down by the dealers!'.... at least then it will be honest....

Anyway rant over... the dealer told me they can fit it, just waiting for the parts... along with the ip bezel , robocop gear **** and gater..

Still very happy with my :red-s:

Just spoke to a friend who works in the Parts Dept of the local Ford Dealer...

PART NUMBER
FINIS Code for the MP3 Adapter Kit is 1426121... the long part number that someone post earlier in the thread is the Engineering Part Number and is not recognised by the Ford Parts System so you need to quote the FINIS code.

ADAPTER KIT
The kit contains a wiring loom, a connector, the socket and a retaining strap. These are all the parts that are required for to retro fit the MP3 connection to a facelift 2006 MY Fiesta.

Cost is £8.13 + VAT

Currently the Adapter Kit is on back order which means the dealer cannot predict a delivery date, the general advice is to leave it for a month and call back.

And will be the first to have it installed!!!!!

 

The adapter kit is still on back-order which means it's not available... Fingers crossed it'll be in soon though...

I want an MP3 connector in my Pre Facelift ST!!!! anyone know if it can be done???.

I heard that the head unit in the facelift has the same workings underneath the fascia as the pre facelift model so it should be possible, but how?.
