Depends on your dealer mate.....

A lot of Mountune Pro dealers will be conducive to you fitting the kit but obviously its a personal choice.

I can only echo what @StiggyTheST said though.
All warranty claims need to be verified and authorised by Ford UK irrespective of dealer so just want the OP to be aware and weigh up the impact to their warranty. Personally I'm waiting until the warranty ends before handing over my cash to Mountune

I'm not sure weather they meant the difference wasn't night and day between the std car and m235 or m235 and m225?

If it's the std car and m235 I disagree 100% The std car feels lethargic compared personally I think it makes a big difference certainly much bigger than my old mp215 in my mk7 I was disappointed with that for the money..

I regularly track my PE. I have already done a BBK as the standard brakes didnt stand up to the track, despite new pads and fluid etc.

So by the same token remapping the engine sounds like a good upgrade but on the track will it kill my engine ??

I'm guessing you've had a play about with the damper settings, just wondering how you've found them with any changes?

I don't see why it would but it might be worth doing the induction kit, intercooler and the oil cooler when its released as well.

The m235 really brings the car to life with loads more torque and it revs out to the limiter more urgently.

I have tried different bump and damper settings and to be honest didn't find much difference and it's really hard to adjust the damping from the top ..not very accessible. The performance pack hand book is unhelpful. I was curious to see if you could wind on some spring compression using the c spanner but wasn't really sure why I was doing it. There is a lot of spring compression available given that the collet is down near the bottom of the coilover threads.

Changing the tyre pressures had quite and effect. Its interesting that the rears are shredding themselves whilst the fronts are not too bad. Having tracked other cars in the past, i would say that the fiesta is amazing. Just the brakes cant hack it.

@tjrvp Totally agree with you about the brakes that are a massive downgrade (or certainly not upgraded to account for the fact the car has got podgier since its Mk7 days) and mine are getting hot just driving (my) sensibly on my commute. Whereas on the Mk7 it was pretty low on the priority ladder on the Mk8 it has now been bumped up to number 3 after the M235 and fog surround Cx!

Totally agree about the brakes - on my favourite bit of road (when clear and safe to 'make progres') I have to stop half way for 15 mins to allow the brakes to cool before continuing.

I read an article in one of the magazines in the early days of the car being released - interview with the chief development engineer where he said the brakes were the weakest point - he asked for the upgrade during development but it was refused on cost grounds.

Considering the increase in weight of the car the brake diameter should have been increased.... if you consider the last gen FoST had 320 fronts and the newer Mk has increased its porkyness to within a large set driver of the Focus I would have thought they would have at least went with 300mm fronts.....
I did the Revo BBK the lighter calipers made up for the heavier larger disks.

OK putting on the M235 upgrade and induction pack in the morning in time for a Brands evening track session tomorrow. Ill let you know how it goes!

Ok so the "kit" arrived this morning in a suspiciously small box. There was me thinking that the Mountune M235 upgrade came with the induction box. Not so. Although in fairness to me the online store is a bit unclear its not until you scroll down abit that what I ordered was the M235 lite.

So ... will it work ok with the standard ST box or should I wait till I have an induction kit fitted.

Either way tonights track evening at brands will be at stock power.

+1 on the brakes issue. It was the only area of the car I felt was worse than the Mk7 from stock when I drove it. I feel the Mk7 can still be run on stock brakes with the MP215 whereas If I had any power upgrade to a Mk8 I'd have to upgrade the brakes to feel comfortable it had adequate stopping power, even for road use.
