Any suggestions for decent tyres, running falkens at the moment as they was on it when purchased. They don't seem to like corners in the wet. Had Michelin on my mk 7.5. My mk8 has the ford performance 18" rims. Been looking at the ps4s but the price abit off putting.

I replaced my fronts with Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 they were just over 300 fitted for the pair.
They are much better in the cold and wet than the PS4s I haven't had them on this car through the summer yet but have had V701s on previous cars, they don't tramline as much as that cars previous Pirelli's. They are very sticky on hot tarmac and feel very similar to the Michelin PS4s. Deeper tread to start with and are definitely slightly quieter too.

Another good one for the list, Eagle F1 Supersport, IMO close to the PSS the Mk8 first shipped with.
I few months ago i had Conti contact 6 tyres fitted after always PS4's and i must say they are very good and slightly cheaper.
