I have no detail. Someone on another forum said that when talking to Jamsport they said they'd managed to remove the torque limiter on 1st and 2nd on their mk7.
Struck me as odd as in all the threads and reviews I've read since launch, I've not once heard that they are limited.
yeah as said mk6 does but i don't know about the mk7, it could well do though, It must even more low down pull/torque from the turbo on the mk7 so would make sense for it to have one, unless the gears etc are really strong on them
Yeah, torque limiter was on the MK6 in 1st and 2nd gear (Mountune apparently raised this on their kits) to limit wheel spin and protect the gearbox.
I would imagine it would be the same story on the MK7s as there is a lot more torque, until someone confirms either way though, it should be fairly easy to notice when you put your foot down in those two gears compared to 3rd gear.
And the torque limiters are within the ecu cal and can be modified when writing the files, hence you get to see big torque and no gain in horse power on some maps past and present
